Hello, my name is Jessica Leaf.

I grew up in an alcohol-free home, where any reference to wine in the bible was automatically translated as ‘grape juice’. Needless to say, like any forbidden fruit, I was fascinated by this magical ‘grape juice’, and as soon as I finished my master’s degree in history (studying the importance of Roman drinking culture in early Christian communities no less), I decided to set about exploring the enchanted world of cocktails. Several months later, this blog was born in an attempt to share what I have learnt, and how you can ‘learnt’ it too, with the great interwebs of the twenty-first century.
