Boozy Roots
One drink to beet it all ππΌ
Shake 1 1/4 oz beet, apple & ginger juice (you can use store bought or make your own; I like making my own because I can adjust the ratios to my liking), add 1 oz lemon juice, 1 1/2 oz whiskey, dark rum or brandy (I used Bainbridge Organic Battle Point whiskey), 1/4 oz of your favourite apertif (I used the natural bitter clove apertif from Haus) and 1 to 2 dashes lemon bitters (skip for a sweeter drink; I used the black lemon bitters from Scrappyβs Bitters) and shake with ice. Serve over ice and garnish with a lemon peel or edible flower πΈ
To make it non-alcoholic replace the whiskey/rum/brandy with Seedlip Spice 94, replace the apertif with Lyres dry vermouth & leave out the bitters β¨
