Mayan Iced Coffee

When an espresso martini just doesn’t cut it…


Shake with ice 1 1/2 oz Mezcal (I used the Cráneo Mezcal from 123 Organic Tequila), 3/4-1 oz cacao honey syrup (depending on sweetness preference—to make the syrup: 1 cup water, 1/2 cup honey, 3/4 cup cacao & a generous pinch of salt, stirred over medium heat in a saucepan until dissolved; you can also use maple syrup or any sweetener you prefer to make the syrup—to make it keto make a simple syrup using Swerve Sweet brown), 1 1/4 oz unsweetened cold brew (I used Rise Brewing Co —you can use less if you want less caffeine, just adjust for taste preference) and 1-2 dashes of chocolate bitters (I used Scrappy’s Bitters; you can also use mole bitters—I recommend Bittermens’ Xocolatl Mole bitters). Serve over ice or in a chilled coupe glass and garnish with chocolate or a cinnamon stick 🍫☕️


To make it non-alcoholic replace the Mezcal with Seedlip Spice 94 🍸
