3 Ingredient Cocktails that Look and Taste Amazing

3 Ingredient Cocktails that Look and Taste Amazing

For many people, making a cocktail can seem like a daunting task. There are so many different types of spirits, bitters, liqueurs and other unusual ingredients, and things can all too-easily end up in an expensive mess.

Yet cocktails that both look and taste amazing don’t have to be complicated. In fact, some of my favourite drinks have just 3 simple ingredients, and can impress even the fussiest imbiber:

1. Golden-Ade

Shake 2 oz of organic vodka or gin (I use Greenbar Distillery’s CITY gin or TRU vodka), 2 oz unfiltered apple juice (I generally juice pink lady or gala apples) and 1 oz of lemon juice (You can use Meyer lemons for a sweeter drink). Strain over crushed ice and garnish with a lemon slice.

If you wish, you can add lemon or yuzu bitters to the cocktail to give it a little extra tang.

2. Call Me Old-Fashioned

Stir 2 oz organic whiskey (I used the organic rye whiskey by Wigle Whiskey), 1 tsp of maple syrup and 2-3 dashes of apple bitters (I used the organic one by Greenbar Distillery). Strain over ice in a chilled rocks glass and garnish with a maraschino cherry .

3. Let there be Brunch

In a chilled coupe glass pour in 1 part orange juice, 1 part prosecco or champagne (I use Tiamo organic prosecco) and 1/4-1/2 teaspoon turmeric juice (depending on your taste preference). Stir gently, garnish with blood orange and enjoy!
