Cheers to Keto!
It seems everyone is going keto these days, but that doesn’t mean you have to give up alcohol, or delicious cocktails!
Below are some of my favourite low-carb, low-sugar cocktails that will get that {slim] booty shaking:
1) Summer Lovin’
Shake with ice 1 sprig of mint, 1 oz fresh lemon juice, 1 dash of yuzu or lemon bitters (optional), 1 oz sake (I get an organic one from Whole Foods Market), 1 oz organic vodka (I used the TRU vodka from Greenbar Distillery), 1 oz calorie-free simple syrup (I use Lakanto Monk Fruit sweetener to make this) and 1 oz unsweetened green tea. Strain over ice in a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with mint or edible flowers.

Summer Lovin’
2) Holy Libre
Shake 2 oz rum or Cachaça (I used Novo Fogo organic aged Cachaça, which is insanely delicious ) with 1 squeeze of lemon juice. Pour over crushed ice, top with keto-freindly cola of your choice (I used Olipop Cinnamon Cola, which is prebiotic and has just 2 g of sugar , but you can also use the cola from Zevia). Garnish with a cinnamon stick, and saúde!
160 calories, 2 g sugar, 2 g carbs, 0 g fat, paleo, vegan and keto
3) Magic Carpet Ride
Shake with ice 2 oz butterfly pea flower tea-infused gin (I got the flowers off Amazon and infused Greenbar Distillery’s CITY gin for a few minutes with a tea strainer ball) with 2-3 dashes of lemon bitters (I used the black lemon bitters from Scrappy’s Bitters) and 1 1/2 tsp sage syrup (I made this from Monkfruit zero-calorie sweetener using this recipe). Strain into a chilled martini glass, express lemon oil over the top (squeeze the lemon peel over the top of the drink) and garnish with sage.
